Retirement

This afternoon, I gave Dallas some summer homework to do. Mostly it is just color by number stuff. I explained it all to him and then went back to the dishes. He then came into the kitchen and announced that "I am not doing any homework anymore ---- I am RETIRED!". I nearly fell over! He did it so matter of fact that it shocked me! Needless to say I told him that 8 year olds were not allowed to retire that young and that he needed to still do his homework.
