My first 4.0!
Today I got my mark for my last practicum class (October) and I got 95% - which is 4.0 in GPA language! Wow! I have never gotten that before and am just totally amazed. Amazed at the mark but also amazed that I got that in that class! I thought I would have done much lower - although I always think I bomb before I get a mark back (something to do with my low self-confidence maybe?). But I was shocked. I am still reeling from it. I need to pinch myself. To understand this I will explain - I always thought I wasn't that smart. In high school I barely scraped by in some subjects (mostly math and science) and even failed a few. I have always thought I was dumb in many areas. When I was in Bible College I never really got good marks because honestly my social life was more important, but then I never thought I could get good grades anyway - so why try. When I went back to get my BA a few years ago - I was astounded at getting good marks and really struggled with it - I even got counseling myself for this issue. I finally accepted that I am not dumb and can get good grades (although I still don't think in math - but I don't care becuase I use a calculator). But this blows me away! Now my overall GPA is 3.55 - amazing. I am not meaning to brag if it sounds like it - I am just really floored.

You Rock Friend
Good job, Lori! That is awesome! What kind of practicum was it? Did you tell me about it?
Hey that's awesome! I look forward to hearing more about your seminary experiences!!
BTW, my GPA at Briercrest is 1.1 right now... no joke... but it's because I've only got marks back in one class and they divide it amongst the other classes I've taken which I haven't received marks for yet, so...lol!!! It's kind of funny.
Blessings!
